BC bagpiper Cameron Bonar has won the 2021 Balmoral Classic Piping and Drumming competition; the youngest person to win the US junior solo bagpiping championship.As the overall winner, 13-year old Cameron won a set of MacRae SL4 Bagpipes by Stuart Liddell. The competition was virtual this year and he was the champion of the Piobaireachd and MSR contests and took the Overall.
In a note to McCallum Bagpipes, Cameron writes “Thank you so much for donating MacRae pipes to the Balmoral competition. They are all set up and sound great, I really appreciate the donation, and look forward to playing them for a long time to come. They are a great set of pipes that I will use for competitions in the near future. This is a very exciting prize to win.”
