Tartantown Ltd was originally started as a convenient location for highland dancers to buy their dance shoes made in Scotland. In 1979 a piping component was added to the store and Terry Lee (who had previously been a part time employee) joined the company on a full time basis. With the added business in piping and drumming related items the store continued to grow significantly and it relocated to bigger and better premises at 555 Clarke Road. We now have over 3500 square feet of front and back store space.
In addition, there is a large gift section of many attractive items such as pottery, jewelry, scarves and rugs, childrens clothing, music and Scottish novelties. Excellent Christmas, birthday or special event gifts are available for all ages.
Professional pipers offer their expertise and supply the best piping products around. Full kilt rentals are available for hire. Available tartans include the traditional Royal Stewart, Black Watch, Scotland Forever, Dress Black, and Scottish National. Perfect for weddings or any event.
