Two Gold Medal Contenders Headline April Piobaireachd Club Meeting

All are welcome to come out and listen to some of BC’s (and the world’s) top pipers perform piobaireachd – the ancient music of the bagpipe on April 7th. Entry to the event is, as always, free for all.

Andrew Lee, recent winner of the Kansas City gold medal and the Boney Music Invitational, and Edward MacIlwaine will perform at the April Piobaireachd Club. Both players will be competing for the coveted gold medal in Scotland this summer.

The event will be held at 7:30 PM on April 7th at the home of Bob and Mary MacIlwaine at 3006 West 8th Avenue in Vancouver.

All pipers are encouraged to come out and play a piobaireachd (or part of one) in this non-competitive and fun atmosphere. Pre-registration is not required.

The Piobaireachd Club was founded in 1990 and has since seen hundreds of pipers perform tunes. Many competitors use the Piobaireachd Club as a platform to perform in public and help prepare for competitions.
