BCPA congratulates winners from the 2014 Midwest Highland Arts Fund Winter Storm competitions.

logo[1]The BCPA would like to congratulate the following BCPA members and players in BCPA member bands for their prizes won at the 2014 Midwest Highland Arts Fund Winter Storm competitions in Kansas City, MO on January 10, 2014.

 

United States Gold Medal Piobaireachd

United States Silver Medal Piobaireachd

  • 3rd Joseph Stewart
  • 5th Alexander Schiele

North American Professional Ceol Beag

  • 2nd Jori Chisholm
  • 3rd James P. Troy

Alastair Lee and Alexander Schiele also made the final resulting in 4 of the 6 spots (out of over 20 competitors) in the final being BCPA members.

North American Gold Medal Drumming Championship

  • 2nd Derek Cooper
  • 3rd Eric MacNeill
  • 5th Cameron Bolley

Colin Hearty also made the final resulting in half of the 8 spots in the final being drummers from BCPA member bands

North American Amateur Drumming Championship

Also, Jori Chisholm and James P. Troy also won an automatic invitation to the Metro Cup 2014 next month in New Jersey.
