Lesley MacKay, former piper in the Vancouver Ladies Pipe Band and daughter of former BCPA Chief Steward Archie MacKay, passed away on January 15, 2014.
Lesley courageously battled cancer for many years and chronicled her fight in her frequent Facebook postings.
Through her determination, she was able to watch her daughter play with the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band in the Novice Juvenile grade at the 2012 World Pipe Band Championships.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 22 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the La Perla Ballroom # 230 810 Quayside Drive, New Westminster, BC (the La Perla Ballroom is in the old New Westminster Quay (River Market).
