REMINDER – UPDATED Important Instructions on Preparing and Submitting Videos for the 2021 BCPA Online Annual Gathering

On the morning of April 1, the following reminder message was emailed directly to 2021 BCPA Online Annual Gathering registered competitors. It is reproduced here in case the competitors did not receive the email.

This is a reminder of several important items for you to be aware of in your preparations for the 2021 BCPA Online Annual Gathering.

Please also forward this email to any players you registered as a Guest under your registration.

Please carefully read and follow these instructions to have a smooth experience in preparing and submitting your videos for the competition.

General Update

The adjudicators assigned to the events are published here

For competitors in all grades EXCEPT Grade 1, Open, CPA B and CPA C Piping, Grade 1 Snare Drumming, and Intermediate Tenor Drumming

Remember that you have until 1:00 pm Pacific Time on Saturday April 3 to upload your performances videos to YouTube and to submit your music performance details.

For competitors in Grade 1, Open, CPA B and CPA C Piping, Grade 1 Snare Drumming, and Intermediate Tenor Drumming

NOTE: Due to discovered time conflicts, on March 31 UPDATED schedules and platform assignments were published HERE with the following changes

  • In Open Piobaireachd, one player’s time changed to a later time (player was individually notified)

  • In CPA B Piobaireachd, three players times changed to later times (players were individually notified)

  • In the Open Jig, the event performances are now split onto TWO Platforms resulting in almost every player playing at an EARLIER time

All Open and CPA B players should carefully review the UPDATED SCHEDULE to be aware of their new playing times and platforms in the particular events.

 

NOTE: ALL TIMES SHOWN IN THE REFERENCED DOCUMENTS AND ORDERS OF PLAY ARE PACIFIC TIME. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE AWARE OF WHAT PACIFIC TIME IS IN YOUR LOCAL TIME ZONE ON THE DAYS OF THE COMPETITION.

Awards Ceremony, viewing results and receiving your adjudication sheets

The results will be announced at the Annual Gathering Awards Ceremony & Ceilidh which will be held online via Zoom on Saturday April 17 at 6:30 pm Pacific Time. Register for the Awards Ceremony and Ceilidh at the link here

The complete results will be posted on the BCPA website following the Awards Ceremony. Afterward, your adjudication sheets will be automatically emailed to you along with a link to the complete results.

To reduce the chances that the automated emails will be caught in the Spam/Junk folder of your email client, the emails will be metered out over several hours. However, please regularly check your Spam/Junk folder after 9:00 pm Pacific Time that day to ensure they are not caught there.

If you do not receive the emails containing your adjudication sheets by 11:59 pm Pacific Time April 17, please contact BCPA IT Infrastructure Leader Garth Newlands at it.infrastructure@archive.bcpipers.org and within one day he will manually email your adjudication sheets to you.
