Family and friends of Maureen Lee have established the Maureen Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Celtic Arts Foundation in Mount Vernon, WA.
The fund will provide scholarships for highland pipers to the Celtic Arts Foundation’s Winter School.

Established in 2019, the Maureen Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund, was created by friends and family to honor longtime Highland piper, Highland Dance piper, and proprietor of the Tartan Thistle Scottish Shop, Maureen Lee. For years, Maureen and husband Angus MacDonald were fixtures at the Celtic Arts Winter School, until her untimely and sudden passing in early 2019. Gifts to this memorial fund will be made available to applicants and awarded through a process administered by the Board of the Celtic Arts Foundation. Thank you to the Lee family for helping establish this scholarship in Maureen’s memory.
