Bruce Gandy Pro Piping Piobaireachd winner AG 2014
Bruce Gandy won the Professional Piping aggregate and the MacCrimmon Memorial Cairn for Piobaireachd, Grant Maxwell captured the Professional Side Drumming aggregate, and Mackenzie Webster won the Professional Tenor Drumming aggregate at the BC Pipers’ Association 82nd Annual Gathering on April 18 and 19 at Clayton Heights Secondary School in Surrey, BC.

John Lee took the CPA Combined B& C Grade Piobaireachd, and in the amateur events Liam Hilder captured the Grade 1 Piping aggregate, Michael Hansen won the Grade 1 Side Drumming aggregate, and Nicole Potter won the Grade 1 Tenor Drumming event.
BCPA continued its extensive Season 4 Internet broadcasting, covering all events in the school’s Theatre with a peak of 140 simultaneous viewers in the Grade 1 band contest and 450 unique viewers over the course of the weekend’s broadcast.
Recordings will be posted on the BCPA’s YouTube channel within a week.
The Annual Gathering Ceilidh was a great success with lots of piping and drumming, including performances by Brian Donaldson, Donald Lindsay and Stephen Creighton, continuing for 4 hours after the awards ceremony ended.
