Colin will be remembered as a very genial man and supportive parent by the many people involved in the Dowco Triumph Street and Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Bands.
Colin also made a significant contribution to piping and drumming education in BC by spearheading the effort to have the Institute of Piping and the RSPBA Structured Learning courses and certificates (now the Piping and Drumming Qualification Board) recognized by the BC Ministry of Education as fine arts credits toward high school graduation requirements.
That all young pipers and drummers in BC have the opportunity to earn these credits is a testament to his desire to advance piping and drumming in the province.
