The BC Pipers’ Association will be holding a seminar for parents and children who are new to piping and drumming and/or who having only been competing for a few years.
The seminar will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am on February 16, 2012 prior to the Mini-Gathering at Pitt River Middle School (2070 Tyner St, Port Coquitlam).
Topics covered will include insight into how players and their parents can prepare for competitions, the services provided by the BCPA such as bursaries and the ability to earn high school credits, and how to get the most out of your piping/drumming experience. It will also allow the opportunity to ask questions.
There are also a number of opportunities for junior members within the Association to earn volunteer hours that can be put towards graduation, including during the Knockouts, Annual Gathering, and by assisting with other administrative aspects of the BC Pipers’ Association. These opportunities will be discussed during the seminar however anyone interested can contact comments@archive.bcpipers.org.
