The well-known Canmore Highland Games is coming Labour Day weekend when Canmore gets kilted – Sunday, September 2nd at Centennial Park in the incredible Rocky Mountains of Canmore, Alberta.
In the presentation of its’ 22nd Annual event, expect the colours, sounds and action of a Full Highland Games during the day including Highland Dancing, Piping and Drumming, Heavy Sports, Sheep Dogs, Massed Bands, Celtic vendors, Clan booths, traditional food and refreshments and non-stop Celtic entertainment in the Big Rock Festival Tent.
Evening brings the popular Ceilidh event (Gaelic for Scottish party), with this year’s headline act CELTICA , who will perform for the first time in Canada. From Europe’s best-kept secret to international headliner act, they bring us their unique sound of blazing bagpipes, mighty drums and the power of a rock band. Other acts include Cabot’s Crossing, the Glenlily Highland Dancers and more.
