Learn to Play Pipes & Drums

BCPA has an 80-year history of encouraging youth and adults to learn and improve their skills at the  Great Highland Bagpipe and Scottish Snare, Tenor, and Bass drumming.

Experience the enjoyment of playing music, working together in teams, traveling, and developing leadership skills and life-long friendships across the world

Piping and drumming offers many benefits to youth and adults alike, beyond the skill and enjoyment of the music. Pipes|Drums Blogpipe shared some great thoughts recently about many of those benefits, intended for parents of new players, but helpful for anyone.

Bagpipe and Drumming instructors are available here. This list is always being updated, please email comments@archive.bcpipers.org if you have any problems.

BCPA hosted a seminar intended to provide information for new pipers and drummers interested in competition. Music competitions give new players an opportunity to hear from a variety of top piping and drumming judges, who provide written feedback to help the new player improve. See the link to the video on the Seminars page.
